Court Unseals Documents Related To Epstein

(LibertySociety.com) – The much-anticipated unsealing of court documents from a civil lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell came on January 3. The documents revealed the names of many people mentioned in the case, including victims, witnesses, and associates of Epstein. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for recruiting and grooming underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. Former President Donald Trump’s was one of the names revealed in the documents, but no wrongdoing was alleged by the witnesses. One witness said that they remembered Epstein mentioning calling Trump while they were in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Former President Bill Clinton’s name was listed in the documents more than 50 times. One document includes testimony from Johanna Sjoberg, who was recruited to work as a massage therapist for Epstein. She claimed that Epstein told her “Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.” A Clinton spokesperson named Angel Ureña told Axios that Clinton publicly refuted knowledge of Epstein’s trafficking of underage women after Epstein was arrested in 2019. She added that it had been over a decade since Clinton was in contact with him and that he did not ever visit “Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida.”

Prince Andrew’s name was also revealed in the documents. Sjoberg accused him of jokingly groping her while posing for photographs. Virginia Guiffre, another Epstein victim, previously accused the prince of raping her when she was just 17 years old. Her civil lawsuit against him was settled with undisclosed terms in 2022. Prince Andrew never admitted to anything Guiffre accused him of doing.

Prominent attorney Alan Dershowitz’s name was listed over 130 times in the documents. However, Guiffre withdrew the lawsuit she had filed against him in 2022, admitting that she may have wrongfully identified him. Michael Jackson was also named, with one witness claiming to have met him at Epstein’s home in Palm Beach, Florida. He was not accused of any illicit behavior. Famous magician David Copperfield was identified as a dinner guest at Epstein’s home. More documents involving the case were also released on Monday, January 8.
