Biden Gives Speech Near Grand Canyon, Has Another Gaffe

(LibertySociety.com) – President Biden has made his fair share of gaffes over the last several years, many of which have been ignored by the mainstream media. Their decision not to bring attention to every error he makes is in stark contrast to the scrutiny former President Trump faced for four straight years. The media wrote five-alarm-fire articles every time Trump mispronounced a word, made a spelling error in a tweet, or drank from his water class incorrectly. They ominously discussed his physical health for walking slowly down a ramp at West Point, ignoring that he tweeted about his slick-bottomed shoes, but went above and beyond to make excuses for President Biden when he fell several times going up the steps while boarding Air Force One.

A quick Google search returned no articles from CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, or ABC about President Biden calling the Grand Canyon “one of Earth’s nine wonders, wonders of the world, literally.” Right-leaning and foreign news outlets believed that his mistake was worthy of recognition, and social media users quickly circulated the clip. President Biden corrected himself less than a minute after the mistake, although he was still wrong. He clarified that he meant to say seven instead of nine, but the Grand Canyon is not on the list of the seven locations that are considered to be wonders of the world. While the Grand Canyon is a magnificent geological formation, it is clear that President Biden’s advisers did not properly prep him before his speech.

President Biden’s mental acuity has been under scrutiny by Republicans since before he took office. He frequently reads the instructions on the teleprompter during speeches, has referred to Ukrainians as Iranians, and often appears to be lost after concluding his remarks. While the GOP is ready for his term to be over and hopeful that a Republican wins the presidency in 2024, there is no doubt that he is a source of entertainment in the meantime.
