(LibertySociety.com) – Two cabinet members in the Biden administration have asked for $13 billion in their 2025 budget requests to move more migrants into the United States. A large portion of the money will be given to so-called sanctuary cities to recoup funds spent on illegal migrants. Those migrants have boosted local economies because they work for low wages, consume with taxpayer funds, and share apartments with other renters. Meanwhile, the American worker suffers. While apologizing for calling an illegal migrant murderer by the wrong term, Biden said that he would like the flow of migrants into the workforce to occur in a more orderly fashion because “they’re the reason our economy is growing.”
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is one of the cabinet members requesting more funds to assist illegal migrants than to protect American citizens. He wants $4.7 billion allocated to the Southwest Border Enforcement Capacity Flexibility (SWBCF) account, which he said could be sent to Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to transport illegal migrants, provide medical care to illegal migrants, purchase and erect soft-sided facilities for illegal migrants, and to provide grants to the Shelter and Service Program for illegal migrants.
He requested $5 billion to bail out so-called sanctuary cities. Some of the funding would also be given to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that provide similar services to migrants but also hide the ones who came through undetected. Millions of other dollars were requested for various other refugee assistance efforts. Mayorkas only asked for $849 million to purchase new drug detection technology, despite record numbers of fentanyl overdose deaths in the United States. Secretary of State Antony Blinken asked for $3.8 billion to support Migration and Refugee Assistance programs, which will bring in more cheap labor, consumers, and renters.
Various NGOs will receive the funding which will be distributed to incoming refugees through debit cards and other types of aid. Some of the funding will be used to assist certain groups with importing migrants for work. The funding will also be used to open more Safe Mobility Offices, which facilitate the air travel of alleged refugees into the United States so they can avoid interaction with cartels and smugglers.
