Gospel Singer, 30, Dies During Performance

(LibertySociety.com) – A famous Brazilian gospel singer collapsed during a performance and died onstage on December 13th. Videos of the event were shared to social media.

Pedro Henrique, 30, was performing the song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo,” which translates to “It’s Going to Be So Beautiful” in English, in Ferira de Santana, Brazil at a religious concert. During the middle of the song, he stumbled backwards and fell onto the stage mere feet from the rest of his band. Several people rushed onstage to his aid while onlookers watched in horror. Henrique was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead of a massive heart attack. His death was announced by his management team, Todah Music, on Radio 93, a Brazilian outlet.

Tragically, Henrique leaves behind a daughter who is only two months old, as well as his wife, Suilan Barreto. His wife shared a tribute to him on social media the day after his death, as did his music label. They both lauded his legacy that will live on through his daughter, Zoe. His label also praised Henrique for how many people he led to Jesus Christ through his music, in addition to his “contagious joy” and his “enchanting voice.”

Some people on social media have questioned whether Henrique’s death is related to the Covid vaccine. An account named “End Wokeness” pointed out that “the new normal is not normal,” referring to the number of people who have died suddenly of heart issues since the Covid vaccine was released and mandated. Others have questioned whether Henrique even received the vaccine, but a Statista chart shared that as of March 2023, nearly 90% of Brazil had been vaccinated against Covid. It is important to note that this theory, while popular, has not yet been proven.

According to Henrique’s management team, he will be laid to rest in his place of birth, Porto Seguro, which is in state of Bahia in northeastern Brazil.
