(LibertySociety.com) – Former White House stenographer Mike McCormick argued in his new book that Biden was a key player in the Biden family’s influence-peddling scheme in Ukraine. McCormick believes that Biden should be “impeached and imprisoned” for guaranteeing United States funding to Burisma right after his son Hunter Biden was named a board member of the Ukrainian energy company. McCormick claimed in his book that he witnessed Biden negotiate the scheme while working as his stenographer from 2011 to 2017. He wrote that he discovered the criminality involved during his deep dive into the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
McCormick recalled then-national security aide Jake Sullivan’s careful wording when describing the type of Ukrainian energy resources that would be aided by the United States funding. Sullivan, who is the current National Security Advisor for the Biden administration, told reporters on Air Force Two that Ukraine would be provided with the technology it needed “to extract unconventional gas resources.” Burisma was one of the few companies licensed for fracking. Then-vice president Joe Biden was just appointed by then-President Obama to oversee United States foreign policy with Ukraine.
Hunter Biden was paid $83,000 a month for his position on Burisma’s board, although he had no energy experience or familiarity with Ukraine. Just one year later, VP Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in funding for Ukraine if its government did not fire then-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma for corruption. During the same year, VP Biden approved a statement regarding his son’s position on the company’s board, although the elder Biden claimed to have no involvement with his family’s business deals.
The following year, Biden was recorded while bragging about his threat to the Ukrainian government. After Biden’s vice-presidential term ended, Hunter Biden’s salary was cut by 50 percent. McCormick told the New York Post last year that he provided tips to the FBI regarding the scandal, but they were ignored.
