Whistleblowers Claim Kerry’s Secret Government Email Use

(LibertySociety.com) – Over the last several years, lawmakers have discovered sneaky ways government agency officials have used to hide communications and documents from being found during Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. During his vice presidency, Joe Biden used pseudonymous names and email addresses in various email communications. Several included his son Hunter Biden, who was never a government employee.

Now lawmakers are drawing attention to John Kerry’s email communications during his time as Secretary of State during the Obama administration. Kerry used a second email address, “[email protected],” which has led to questions about whether those communications were included in FOIA requests. Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken to get to the bottom of the matter. The lawmakers asked Blinken to hand over any communications sent to and from the pseudonymous email, and any that cc’d the email address. Blinken must respond to the senators by July 1.

Just a few weeks earlier, the lawmakers divulged that whistleblowers had handed over internal FBI emails revealing Kerry’s interference with potential arrest warrants against Iranians illegally residing in the United States who were financially aiding in the Iranian government’s attempt to manufacture nuclear weapons. The records showed that top officials at the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) did nothing to stop the interference until the Trump administration intervened. The new letter reminded Blinken of the whistleblowers’ claims and inquired about accusations against Kerry regarding his handling of classified communications after he left office. The senators also demanded that Blinken disclose the State Department’s process for storing and archiving Kerry’s emails.

Additionally, the senators asked specific questions about the nature of Kerry’s email discussions with the pseudonymous account, particularly whether he had communications about the failed Obama administration Iran Nuclear Deal. Whether Kerry used the email strictly for government purposes was also questioned. Thus far, the State Department has not responded to the letter.
