This December may or may not be any different, depending on individual situations. Regardless of whether a person decides to stay in or venture out on New Year’s Eve, there’s no reason they can’t still have a blast.
Those who want to celebrate away from home might want to visit a live show. Stand-up comedians may be the perfect end to a stressful year dealing with the pandemic. If comedy doesn’t appeal to the going-out crowd, music might be the perfect way to bring in the new year. Live bands can pump up a crowd like no other, provide a cathartic release for friends and family, and help shake out the lockdown blues.
Those who prefer to stay home can have just as much fun by having a dance party in their own homes. Pump up the music tuning into the sounds of Beatlemania on Disney+, or pop some popcorn and let a movie speak to the crowd.

Some new releases on the big and small screen include “Don’t Look Up,” “The Matrix Resurrections,” and “The Lost Daughter,” if thrillers or horror are on the menu. On the other hand, chillin’ can have a whole new meaning by bringing in 2022 with the Grateful Dead’s “Ticket to New Year’s” concert from 1987.
Ringing in a new year means a fresh start, and no matter how or where one decides to celebrate, there are great options for everyone.
