(LibertySociety.com) – For years, the US-Mexican border in Texas has been the entry point for both legal and illegal immigrants. In October alone, an encampment in Del Rio, Texas, saw at least 15,000 people awaiting processing by border agents. Overworked border personnel struggle to keep up with numerous migrants looking to make the United States their home.
On a recent trip to the crisis point, Border Hawk website owner Wid Lyman noticed something unusual on the ground. Among the trash and refuse scattered across the landscape, he found pamphlets from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), a United Nations (UN)-affiliated organization, that allegedly detailed how to seek asylum in the US.

The IOM started its work in 1951, operating closely with governmental and non-governmental agencies to promote orderly and humane migration by providing workable solutions. The organization reportedly works with 173 member states and became a UN-related group in 2016. The packets they provide allegedly help people who migrate do so as seamlessly as possible.
Lyman believes the information he found is a roadmap for migrants to enter the United States under the guise of seeking asylum by telling them what to say. He said it was shocking how “coached” and “well-funded” the people crossing the border are in their quest to live in America.
Defending the Move
During his visit to the Mexican border, Lyman also heard rumors about envelopes of cash making their way into the hands of migrants waiting to cross. Defenders of the money support system allege the cash handout is a way to prevent suffering and death among immigrants. They call it “movement assistance.” Those who favor the assistance support it because they don’t think they have a choice. On the other hand, people against the practice believe giving migrants money, which includes US tax dollars, only entices and encourages them to storm the border for entry.
Biden Administration
When President Joe Biden took office in January, he tasked Vice President Kamala Harris to handle the crisis at the border. Unfortunately, America has yet to see any progress or improvement in the situation, and many criticize Harris’ lack of action.
Since the president entered the White House, he suspended Migrant Protection Protocols, a move a federal court in Texas reversed. He also attempted to reunite separated families and issued an order to discover the cause of the migration problems. Despite his “efforts,” reports keep piling in, showing numbers at the border are steadily rising. If anything, it appears the border situation is worse than it was before he took office.
