(LibertySociety.com) – During the debate, former President Donald Trump brushed off an attack by Vice President Kamala Harris, calling it a pre-prepared “sound bite” fed to her by advisers. Harris had criticized Trump’s lack of a plan for the American people, accusing him of being more focused on defending himself than addressing issues like the economy. “I’d invite you to know that Donald Trump actually has no plan for you,” she said.
Trump responded by dismissing Harris’s remarks, saying, “That’s just a sound bite, they gave her that to say.” He then touted his own credentials, referencing his education at the Wharton School of Finance. “Many of those professors, the top professors, think my plan is a brilliant plan,” Trump said. He went on to describe his plan as one that would boost the country’s value, create jobs, and generate “good, solid money” for the economy.
Trump also criticized Harris’s policy platform, which was posted to her campaign website just 49 days after President Joe Biden left the race under pressure from top Democrats and donors. He argued that her plan lacked substance, comparing it unfavorably to Biden’s platform and mocking its brevity. “She doesn’t have a plan; she copied Biden’s plan,” Trump said. “It’s like four sentences… She doesn’t have a plan, take a look at her plan.”
According to Breitbart News, Harris’s plan allegedly borrowed several aspects from Biden’s campaign platform, further fueling Trump’s criticism during the debate.
