Trump Releases Heartfelt Tribute to the Queen

Trump Breaks Silence On Queen Elizabeth’s Death

( – After the death of Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, former President Donald Trump paid tribute to her on his social media platform. The previous US leader relayed his sadness about her passing, saying he and former First Lady Melania Trump send their “sincere condolences” to the loved ones she leaves behind and the citizens of the United Kingdom.

Trump previously stated he looked forward to meeting Queen Elizabeth II because his mother was a “big fan”. In his statement, Trump revealed he would always remember the time they spent together and how much he appreciated her “great wisdom” and “sense of humor.” The former commander-in-chief first met Her Royal Highness in July 2018. After the encounter, he told TV host, Piers Morgan, that she was “fantastic”.

In June 2019, then-President Trump and his wife visited the monarch at Buckingham Palace. They stayed for lunch before heading over to Westminster Abbey for afternoon tea with then-Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla — Duchess of Cornwall.

Although the interactions were relatively brief, Queen Elizabeth II seemed to make quite an impression on Trump, who referred to her in his post as a “grand and beautiful lady.”

What are your thoughts about the queen and her 70-year reign over the United Kingdom?
