(LibertySociety.com) – Then-President Donald Trump left the White House on Wednesday, January 20, ending off his first term in the Oval Office. He spoke to the American people one last time as their president — then boarded Air Force One and headed to his new home at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Trump was greeted by a beautiful sight when he touched down in the Sunshine State.
Hundreds of people lined the streets as Trump’s motorcade made its way to his private golf club in Palm Beach. One of his supporters, Anita Bargas, spoke to WLPG News and said she traveled from Texas to join the others along the route and “show him how much [they] appreciate him.” Another woman told WPTV 5 News she isn’t happy because Trump had to leave the White House, but she hopes “he’ll be back.”
The mood along the motorcade route was sad, but hopeful. Trump’s supporters wanted him to know that they would continue to work toward a brighter future for the country just like he has for the last four years. And there’s no doubt they will keep that promise.
