(LibertySociety.com) – In October 2020, Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe sued the New York Times for defamation. The lawsuit came after an NYT reporter called the organization’s work “false” and “deceptive,” according to Fox News. A judge recently ruled in the organization’s favor on a motion, and the former president acknowledged the important decision in a new video.
On March 23, O’Keefe posted a video on Twitter of former President Donald Trump standing with O’Keefe and congratulating Project Veritas on “their big win.” Justice Charles Wood recently ruled against the NYT’s motion to dismiss in the New York Supreme Court, saying the evidence in the case could show “actual malice” on the part of the paper, Fox News reported. In the video, the former president also praised the investigative journalist for his organization’s “incredible work.”
