(LibertySociety.com) – President-elect Donald Trump revealed new additions to his upcoming administration, emphasizing loyalty, experience, and his “America First” vision. One of the standout announcements was Alina Habba, his longtime attorney and adviser, who will serve as Counselor to the President.
Trump shared the news on Truth Social, praising Habba for her dedication and resilience. “Alina has been a tireless advocate for justice and a fierce defender of the rule of law. She’s stood by me through countless battles,” he wrote. Trump also highlighted her personal story, noting that as a first-generation American of Middle Eastern heritage, she’s become an inspiration to women in law and politics. Habba was recently honored as Chaldean Woman of the Year.
Responding to the announcement, Habba called the appointment “the honor of my life” in a post on X, formerly Twitter. She’ll now join Trump’s White House team, a critical role as he prepares for his second term.
In another move, Trump named Christopher Landau as Deputy Secretary of State. Landau, who previously served as U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, is known for his work reducing illegal immigration and promoting strong U.S.-Mexico relations. He will partner with Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio to advance America-first foreign policy goals.
Trump also announced other key appointments in the State Department. Michael Needham, who has worked closely with Rubio, will serve as Counselor to the Department of State. Michael Anton, who held a national security role during Trump’s first term, will take on the role of Director of Policy Planning. Trump praised Anton for his deep understanding of America-first strategies and his ability to communicate their importance.
Lastly, Trump congratulated Brian Schimming, the chairman of Wisconsin’s Republican Party, on his reelection. “Brian has been with us from the start and played a major role in our historic 2024 victory,” Trump said. He expressed excitement about continuing to work with Schimming to strengthen the MAGA movement.
These appointments signal Trump’s commitment to building a team of loyal allies and experienced leaders as he looks ahead to another term in the White House.
