(LibertySociety.com) – On February 23, Former President Donald Trump started a super Political Action Conference (PAC) at Mar-a-Lago to fundraise and celebrate Republican congressional hopefuls ahead of the mid-term elections. The event is titled the “Take Back Congress Candidate Forum” and will feature 13 candidates, as well as 10 current congress members and 4 of Trump’s hand-picked super PAC members.
Historically, an endorsement from the former president means the candidate is likely a shoo-in to win their primary and possibly the seat. Although that’s not always the case, data shows it’s better to have a Trump boost than not.

Those in attendance will include Trump supporters like Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), who will boost Representative Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) rival Harriet Hageman. The previous leader aims to unseat the Wyoming legislator for taking part in the January 6 select committee and going against most of the Republican party on the matter. Trump also wants to show his support for the Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker, who he hopes will take Senator Raphael Warnock’s (D-GA) place.
Some suspect the event will also set the stage for the former president to run again for the White House in 2024, although he has yet to confirm the rumor officially.
