Trump Endorsed by Multiple Medal of Honor Recipients

(LibertySociety.com) – In the 2024 presidential race, more than a dozen Congressional Medal of Honor recipients have endorsed former President Donald Trump. These 15 distinguished veterans, who served in conflicts like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam, expressed their support in a public letter.

“We, 15 recipients of the Medal of Honor, having served this great nation in wars, support and endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States,” the letter begins.

The veterans emphasized their belief in the importance of American citizenship and patriotism. “We believe that American citizenship is a revered privilege. We believe that a patriotic nation is a strong nation. We believe that the sacrifices by the men and women in our armed forces preserve and protect American freedom,” they wrote.

Their endorsement goes beyond mere support for Trump—it reflects their commitment to core American values. They stressed the importance of trust in institutions, dedication to the Constitution, and honoring veterans. They also expressed their belief in protecting the nation’s borders and ensuring free and fair elections for all.

In a likely jab at Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the veterans criticized the “fabrication of military service” as dishonorable. Walz, a former member of the Minnesota National Guard, has faced accusations of “stolen valor” due to his early retirement before his battalion’s deployment to Iraq.

The letter continued, stating that the enemies of freedom must be defeated and that the American flag is a symbol of that freedom. “We believe the United States of America is the greatest nation the world has ever imagined,” the recipients wrote, pledging their “lives, fortunes, and sacred honor” to their fellow Americans.

The Harris-Walz campaign, meanwhile, highlighted its own endorsements, including support from over 700 national security leaders and former military officials. However, when contacted by Fox News, they did not comment on Trump’s endorsements from the Medal of Honor recipients.
