(LibertySociety.com) – Former President Donald Trump surprised a Pennsylvania mother of three when he bought her groceries during a visit to a small market before a campaign stop in Indiana, PA.
Earlier that day, Trump made an unscheduled stop at Sprankles Market in Kittanning. While there, he chatted with supporters and fans who were clearly excited to see him.
At one point, Trump walked over to a display of popcorn and picked up a large bag, jokingly saying, “Oh, I gotta get some of this!”
“Look at that stuff. This is what I want. We gotta get it,” he said with a grin, making the people around him laugh.
One of the shoppers nearby chimed in, “My mom just got a bag of that.”
“Is it good?” Trump asked, genuinely curious.
“She says it’s the best,” the shopper replied.
“If it’s the best,” Trump said with a smile, “I’ll be sending for it when I’m back in Washington, hopefully in the Oval Office.”
Trump then paid for the popcorn, handing the cashier some cash and saying, “Take the rest of it.” But he didn’t stop there. As he turned, he noticed a mother and her kids checking out behind him. Without hesitation, Trump tossed a bill onto the conveyor belt to help cover her groceries.
“Here, your bill’s going down a bit,” he told her. She looked surprised and grateful, picking up the bill.
“It just went down a hundred bucks,” Trump added with a smile.
“Thank you so much!” she said, clearly touched by the gesture.
Trump waved and said, “We’ll do that for you from the White House,” before turning to greet more people. Spotting the woman’s kids, he smiled and asked, “They’re your kids?”
“Yes, they are,” she replied. “Three boys.”
“Perfecto,” Trump said, nodding in approval before heading out.
