Buttigieg Claims Campaign Issues Are Because Dems Are Too Successful

(LibertySociety.com) – On October 16, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appeared on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” where he said Democrats have been so successful in passing legislation, that campaigning is challenging. The politician ran through a laundry list of packages, saying Blue candidates running for office can’t possibly talk about them all. Stephanopoulos quickly reminded him about the possibility of a recession, considering the economy is largely on the minds of voters heading into November.

Buttigieg claimed America was heading toward a financial “freefall,” which was stopped by the passage of the American Rescue Plan.

However, many Americans are still hurt by the economy, considering the out-of-control inflation rate that continues across the nation. The price of food is also rising, as many struggle to make ends meet. Those facts may hurt the Democratic Party’s chances of success in the midterm elections. A recent Gallup poll showed that 51% of those surveyed believe Republicans have a better chance of keeping the “country prosperous.” Conversely, only 41% believe the Left has that capability.

What do you think about Buttigieg’s statements? Do you believe Democrats have just done so much that it is hurting their campaigns, or are they just tooting their own horns while Americans continue to suffer?
