(LibertySociety.com) – Most of the world is open to travelers after more than 18 months in a global pandemic. However, it might be a good idea to check your destination before booking a flight because cases are rising in many places overseas. Most areas in the European Union welcome vaccinated Americans, but many areas may once again incorporate testing and quarantines.
Unfortunately, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Britain are all experiencing spikes in coronavirus cases and are beginning to respond with restrictions and lockdowns, especially for the unvaccinated population.

Visiting Eastern European countries like Romania, Bulgaria, and Latvia may be difficult because they currently have record-breaking numbers of COVID-19 cases, making their demographics look more like a first wave instead of a fourth.
While no country that has opened its borders to travel reported closing them again yet, the action may not be out of the realm of possibility. Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned “storm clouds” were gathering in Europe, and he doesn’t want his country to be complacent regarding COVID-19. He asked Britain’s population to vaccinate and ready themselves for what may come.
Seasonal travelers should check for current restrictions before firming up any holiday plans.
