(LibertySociety.com) – COVID-19 has taken hundreds of thousands of lives over the last year. The deadly virus, which began in China, doesn’t discriminate based on race, religion, or political affiliation. Sadly, it claimed another life this week.
On Monday, February 8, Rep. Ron Wright’s (R-TX) office announced he passed away. The US congressman was hospitalized two weeks ago with complications from the virus.
Elected for the first time during the 2018 midterms, Congressman Wright recently won his re-election bid in 2020. He served in Congress for just over two years and was known for his anti-abortion activism. The week before he died, he reintroduced two important pro-life bills to fight back against the Biden administration’s attempts to “roll back abortion restrictions.”
In honor of the tens of thousands of pro-life Americans that are coming together today to celebrate life, I am proud to reintroduce the Teleabortion Prevention Act and the Child Custody Protection Act. #WhyWeMarch

Wright is survived by his wife and three children. America mourns with them, the people of Texas, and the pro-life movement. They have lost a giant.
