(LibertySociety.com) – Former Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) has a new book coming out, and he’s not been kind to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). The former top Republican has called Cruz “Lucifer in the flesh,” and said he’s a “reckless a**hole.” A leaked audio recording even captured him cursing the senator out in February. Now, the Texas lawmaker has hit back.
On Saturday, April 10, Cruz spoke to the Daily Caller about the recent comments from Boehner. The senator said he thinks the former Speaker is “a little unhinged,” wondering if he had a little “too much wine” before he made the comments. Cruz also responded to further insults in a tweet on Friday.

Cruz isn’t the only conservative Boehner reportedly attacks in his memoir, “On the House.” He also claims former President Donald Trump lied to his supporters, said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is a “political terrorist,” and called former Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) a “lunatic.” The book will hit shelves on April 13.
