Suspected Palestinian Terrorists Captured Crossing Border

(LibertySociety.com) – US Border Patrol agents detained three Palestinians who illegally entered the country at the southern border in early July after learning of their possible links to terrorist organizations, sources say.

The Palestinians, including one whose phone contained a photo of a man holding an AK-47, were among a group of illegals who turned themselves into Border Patrol agents in the San Diego sector of the border.

Sources said the potential terrorists, who also included a Turkish national, were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating.

Despite claims from presumptive Democrat nominee Kamala Harris that terrorists are not illegally entering the United States through the southern border, US officials have arrested more than a dozen illegals with ties to terrorist groups in the past year.

In June, eight migrants from Tajikistan were arrested in multiple cities after the Joint Terrorism Task Force was alerted that the men had links to the Islamic State in Central Asia.

Two Jordanian nationals were arrested in May after they attempted to breach security at the US Marine Corps base in Quantico. At least one of the men entered the US at the southern border.

One month earlier, a Uzbeki man who had been released into the US in February 2022 was arrested when officials processing his asylum application learned that Uzbekistan flagged him due to his links to the Islamic State.

A Lebanese national who was apprehended near El Paso in March told Border Patrol that he belonged to the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah and planned to go to New York City and make a bomb.

During a 2019 interview with a New Hampshire news outlet, 2020 presidential candidate Kamala Harris mocked then-President Trump for suggesting that a border wall was needed to stop terrorists from illegally entering the United States.

Harris called Trump’s comments “the height of irresponsibility” and said that any suggestion that terrorists were attempting to invade the US from the southern border “couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
