(LibertySociety.com) – On Tuesday, March 16, a series of shootings rocked the metropolitan Atlanta area. When the gunfire ended, multiple people were dead and a 21-year-old was in custody.
According to law enforcement, Robert Aaron Long entered three massage parlors in the evening and began shooting. Eight people died in the attacks, including six Asian women and two white men. Police say Long’s parents contacted them after seeing an image of the suspect online. Officers then tracked his phone and were able to apprehend him in Crisp County, Georgia. They believe he was headed to Florida to carry out similar attacks.

Although police don’t know for sure what motivated him, the suspect reportedly told police that he had a sexual addiction and wanted to eradicate the temptation. Police don’t know at this time if the attacks were racially motivated. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
