(LibertySociety.com) – Rapper and social media star Lucas Coly has reportedly passed away at the age of 27. This news was confirmed by his manager in a heart-wrenching post on Instagram.
On Thursday, Coly’s manager shared the sad news, writing, “Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there.” He later changed the message to a simple heart emoji, leaving fans with more questions than answers.
In the original post, before it was edited, the manager expressed his deep grief over the loss of Coly. He wrote, “Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here. There’s a hole in my heart right now, Lucas.” He went on to talk about the struggles they had faced together, saying, “We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans. So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other.”
He ended the post by confessing that he wasn’t sure how to move forward, even admitting, “I’d be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same.” While these words remain cryptic, they have sparked widespread speculation about the cause of Coly’s death.
Adding to the mystery, one of the manager’s posts included the hashtag #checkonyourfriends, suggesting Coly may have been struggling emotionally in his final days. However, no official cause of death has been revealed.
Coly’s rise to fame began when he immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 8. He became a popular figure on Vine, a video-sharing app that took off about 10 years ago. Known for his music as well, Lucas Coly captured fans with his hit song “I Just Wanna.”
Now, his fans and followers are left mourning the loss of a young star whose life ended far too soon.
