(LibertySociety.com) – The House Judiciary Committee has issued a report claiming that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris collaborated with the United Nations to accelerate the migration process for people entering the United States, allegedly using tens of millions of taxpayer dollars. The report, reviewed by Breitbart News, asserts that nearly eight million migrants have entered the U.S. since Biden and Harris took office, often through coordination with the U.N. to sidestep the southern border.
At the core of these efforts, the report suggests, is the Biden administration’s “Safe Mobility Initiative.” Established in June 2023 by the State Department, the program reportedly enables migrants to avoid the physical border altogether, providing them with pathways to the U.S. with assistance from the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). This initiative allows migrants to consult with U.N.-affiliated personnel and receive options for U.S. entry, such as family reunification, labor routes, and humanitarian parole.
Currently, Safe Mobility Offices have been set up in 13 cities across Central and South America, including Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ecuador. From these offices, more than 18,000 migrants have been resettled in the U.S., while approximately 67,000 more are under review for possible resettlement under the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. The report estimates that close to $70 million in taxpayer funds have been allocated for these U.N.-operated offices, with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) contributing nearly $15 millionport’s release comes at a time when Vice President Harris, on the campaign trail, has distanced herself from the administration’s approach to immigration, which has included policies many see as encouraging increased migration. The influx of migrants has strained resources in smaller U.S. towns like Lockland Village, Ohio, and Charleroi, Pennsylvania, causing concerns over housing costs and public services. Some residents have reported rising living costs and localized impacts of the Biden-Harris policies, with one Ohio resident telling Fox News Digital, “We’re all wanting to get out of here, the Americans.”
As border security becomes a key election issue, the Committee’s findings cast a spotlight on Harris’s role in the administration’s immigration policies and the broader strategy toward U.S. immigration law.
