(LibertySociety.com) – Russia has developed a new missile that will likely terrify some of its adversaries. And — they plan to test it in the near future.
According to January 4th reports, Russia developed an RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile and plans to test it soon. The missile is reportedly capable of dropping 16 smaller thermonuclear warheads or 10 large ones. When unleashed, the missiles will overwhelm the defense systems the former Soviet country’s adversaries have in place. The missile can also take out an area the size of France.

Deputy Minister of Defense Alexey Krivoruchko said the country would begin tests “in the near future,” but so far, its “missile ejection tests have been completed with a positive result.” Meanwhile, US officials are looking for new ways to protect the country from Russian and Chinese weapons while also developing its own hypersonic weapons.
