RNC Launches Ad Responding to President Biden’s Re-Election Bid

(LibertySociety.com) – The Republican National Committee came prepared to counter President Joe Biden’s announcement for re-election on April 25th, 2023, responding with an ad that utilized AI technology to portray a version of what America could look like if the 46th President was afforded another term in the White House. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released a statement with the ad, listing several problems that the group argues would be exacerbated if Biden were allowed to “finish the job.”

The video began with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris celebrating their victory, followed by a depiction of Taiwan being invaded by China, somber clips of boarded-up buildings with a voiceover news anchor reporting the shuttering of over 500 banks, shifting to a scene of people crossing the Rio Grande, reporting over 80,000 illegal migrants overwhelming border patrol agents in one day, and ending with a scene of San Francisco being overrun by crime and fentanyl, with the voiceover asking “Who’s in charge here?”

McDaniel also expressed in her statement that there is unity within the Republican Party to send Joe Biden out the door of the Oval Office, even as the pool of candidates for the 2024 Republican Primary Election continues to grow. As of now, 4 candidates have officially entered the race, including former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, entrepreneur, author, and political activist Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.

Senator Tim Scott, R-S.C., is also exploring a potential run, forming a committee to travel the country to get a feel for what voters are looking for. Other potential candidates include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has been sending signals of an announcement by traveling to early primary states and hiring more staff, but his announcement may not come until the end of the legislative session in Florida. Former Vice President Mike Pence has also hinted at the possibility of a 2024 run.
