(LibertySociety.com) – Representative James Comer, R-Ky., who chairs the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, has chosen to withhold the names of whistleblowers who have come forward with information to assist in his investigation into criminal allegations against the Biden family. He defended the decision after Representative Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland, accused Comer of the investigation lacking transparency to the minority party, preventing it from being “fair and balanced.”
Comer hit back at Raskin, stating that the whistleblowers did not want Democrats to have access to their personal information. His spokesperson also stated that “Chairman Comer is protecting these whistleblowers.” After the first subpoena was revealed, Raskin intentionally tried to deceive Americans by completely ignoring the $3 million dollar wire transfer from a Chinese company, instead focusing on purchases made for pizza and coffee. Comer claimed that Raskin is “playing lawyer for the Biden family,” adding that he is playing games and to not be fooled by them.
Democrats claimed that the investigation is politically motivated and without merit. Meanwhile, Comer claims that he is uncovering new levels of corruption by the Biden family on a daily basis. On Friday, April 7th, 2023, five more banks were subpoenaed for Biden family financial records, which Rep. Comer claims was also divulged by Rep. Raskin. He alleges that Rep. Raskin is trying to intimidate other witnesses from coming forward.
In March 2023, Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, admitted through a spokesperson that he received money for a business deal with a Chinese energy company, after previously claiming that no such deal existed. Rep. Comer’s investigation has been underway for several months now, but time will tell whether or not he gathers enough evidence to take further action against the Biden family.
