(LibertySociety.com) – When Joe Biden ran for president, he promised he would be the man to bring the country together. During his time in the Senate, he was known for his willingness to work with the other side, so when he vowed to bring that energy to the White House, people believed him. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is now furious that he’s done the exact opposite.
On April 25, Paul spoke to Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures” about Biden’s first 100 days. During the interview, the senator expressed frustration about the president, calling him out for promising bipartisanship but doing nothing to make it happen. He said he is “still waiting” for the POTUS to unify the country, but so far, it’s been “Biden’s way or the highway.”

Biden has only passed one big piece of legislation, the COVID-19 stimulus package, and Democrats used budget reconciliation to make it happen. They passed it without Republican support. Now they’re trying to do the same with an infrastructure bill, despite the GOP’s willingness to compromise on a legislative package. It seems that all the talk about bipartisanship went right out the window as soon as Biden took office.
