Feds Accused Of “Disinformation” — Senator Rand Paul Explains
(LibertySociety.com) – As a follow-up to a meeting with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding the new Disinformation Governance Board, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said the US government is one of the biggest disinformation disseminating culprits. At the beginning of May, during the meeting with DHS Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Paul demanded answers about the largely discredited Steele Dossier contents. He told Mayorkas that the public doesn’t need a board to decipher the truth for them, partially because the government has a history of lying.
I don't trust government to figure out what the truth is. Government is largely disseminating disinformation. https://t.co/GWZqBii8O1

The senator wanted the secretary to admit the dossier contained Russian disinformation, but he refused, saying he wasn’t “equipped to answer.” The Kentucky lawmaker pushed the issue, stating even the FBI admitted the papers were full of lies concocted by Russia, so how could Mayorkas possibly have a disinformation board and not know?
He even questioned Mayorkas’ knowledge about the very definition of misinformation, adding that he thinks the DHS security secretary has no faith in the intelligence of US citizens.
Paul said he doesn’t trust the government to discover, much less disseminate the truth. Instead, he believes the American public can figure out for themselves what is true information and what is not and act accordingly.
