Trump Is Still America’s Most Popular Politician According to Latest Poll
(LibertySociety.com) – A Harvard CAPS-Harris poll from October 12 and 13 shows former President Donald Trump is still more popular than President Joe Biden, even though he’s out of office. According to the more than 2,000 voters surveyed, the previous US leader has a favorability and unfavorability rate of 47%, netting him neutral in their eyes. The current commander-in-chief, however, holds a negative net rating of 8%. That means more Americans in the poll see Biden in a bad light than good.
The GOP nominee for President in 2024 is Trump if he wants it. DeSantis, if he doesn't. A long way to go, but these are impressive starting points. https://t.co/mHeqzbQ3ic pic.twitter.com/bmYlZ3HrGP

Vice President Kamala Harris received even worse feedback, as half of those polled see her unfavorably, whereas only 40% paint her in a positive light. Down the line, Democrats scored poorly. Those named included former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who all scored negatively in the double digits.
The only three netting on the positive side were Republican Governor Ron DeSantis (FL), Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), and former Vice President Mike Pence (R), all Conservatives.
Despite all the negative publicity and accusations against Trump, he still seems to be faring better than the current US leader. Perhaps it’s because 46% of the same pollsters believe the US is in a recession or will soon be in one. In addition, a whopping 57% believe their financial position is getting worse with the Democratic president at the helm. The economy remains a key issue heading into the midterm elections.
Do you think Trump is still more popular than Biden amongst Americans? What do you believe this means for November?
