Pelosi Insists “Bidenomics Is Working, Americans Just Don’t Know It”

(LibertySociety.com) – California Representative Nancy Pelosi has always held a high opinion of President Biden, even through the record inflation that has drained the savings of millions of Americans who are working more than one job to make ends meet. During a recent interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Pelosi’s out-of-touch commentary raised eyebrows and made the rounds on social media. Bash was curious to hear why Pelosi thought that President Biden’s “successes,” which she made sure to list before asking the question, were not resonating with the American people, as his handling of the economy is still polling low.

Pelosi responded by touting President Biden’s accomplishments, equating him to Presidents Lyndon Johnson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, adding that the disconnect with Americans is simply due to messaging. Pelosi suggested that the president needs to tell people how their lives have been changed for the better because of his actions.

“He just has to get out there,” Pelosi said, as she used the excuse of Biden being busy as a reason that people are seemingly unaware that their lives have been improved. Pelosi went on to claim that President Biden “connects with the American people.” But at the same time, it seems Pelosi thinks his low polling numbers are due to not communicating with the American people.

Pelosi also discussed the events of January 6, 2021. Pelosi’s interview came shortly after CNN’s Bash interviewed former Vice President Mike Pence. In that piece, he said that he did not believe that former President Trump should be criminally charged for anything that happened that day. Pelosi reiterated her admiration for Pence for doing what she believed to be the right thing regarding the certification of electors but repeated her long-held stance that the former president must abide by the same laws as anyone else.

Pelosi did tell Bash that Trump has to be proven guilty in a court of law, a line that she has repeated several times. She also commented on the recent news that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is considering expunging former President Trump’s two impeachments, which she believes would be irresponsible.
