Pelosi Goes Off on Republicans After Impeachment Trial

(LibertySociety.com) – The Democratic witch hunt wrapped up on Saturday, February 13, and the Senate gave former President Donald Trump an early Valentine’s Day present. The Senate’s vote of 57-43 resulted in an acquittal on the charge that he incited an insurrection at the Capitol. Shortly after, the Speaker of the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), responded to the news with rage.

During a press conference, Pelosi slammed Republicans for voting to acquit the president of her trumped-up charges. She called the 43 who rejected her latest witch hunt “cowardly” and said they were “afraid to defend their job.” During her rant, she said she wouldn’t be moving to censure the former president either.

Pelosi’s meltdown was out of line for an average member of Congress, but utterly outrageous as the House leader. Even Joe Biden himself admitted in a CNN interview that Trump wasn’t likely to be convicted. So are these results really a surprise to anyone who witnessed or took part in the process?
