Over 425,000 Migrant Criminals Roam Free in Biden-Harris America

(LibertySociety.com) – A recent data dump has revealed that the Biden administration is allowing more than 650,000 migrants with criminal backgrounds or pending charges, including convicted murderers and sex offenders, to live freely across the United States. The data, released by House Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales, highlights the extent to which migrant criminals and suspects remain at large despite their criminal histories.

According to the data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal records on ICE’s national docket. Of these, 435,719 are convicted criminals, including 13,099 individuals convicted of murder. Additionally, 226,847 migrants are facing criminal charges, with 1,845 charged with homicide. The report notes that many of these migrants, despite their criminal records, are not being held in detention.

One of the most concerning revelations from the data is that at least 13,099 convicted murderers are not detained. Further, an additional 222,141 migrants with pending criminal charges, including murder charges, remain free. This comes even as ICE is not utilizing its full detention capacity, leaving 41,000 detention beds available.

The data also shows that 17,000 migrants have been found guilty or are facing charges for sexual offenses. Meanwhile, 15,000 additional migrant criminals are currently incarcerated, including 277 convicted murderers and 51 individuals facing murder charges.

The term “noncitizens” in the data encompasses illegal migrants, overstayed visa holders, and even some green card holders, all of whom are subject to deportation. However, due to the current administration’s policies, many of these individuals are not being deported despite their criminal histories.

This data has put significant political pressure on Vice President Kamala Harris, who is set to deliver a speech about border policy. Harris has been criticized for her handling of the border crisis, and this latest revelation has fueled further scrutiny. In 2021, Harris reportedly chose not to share control over migration policy with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Since then, Mayorkas has been accused of reducing migrant detention and deportation, a policy critics say has allowed many criminals to remain in the U.S.

Donald Trump, quick to respond, placed direct blame on Harris, stating, “Nobody who has allowed this to happen to our Country is fit to be president of the United States!” Trump further demanded that Harris cancel her upcoming news conference on border policy, criticizing her role in the administration’s handling of migration issues.

The revelation of 650,000 criminal migrants roaming freely across the U.S. underscores growing concerns about public safety and the state of the nation’s immigration enforcement. Critics argue that the Biden administration’s immigration policies, particularly its leniency in detaining and deporting criminal migrants, are endangering communities across the country. Meanwhile, Harris and the administration are facing mounting pressure to address these issues as part of a more “tough” approach to border security.
