When a scandal happens, the story never really dies — even over 20 years later. Monica Lewinsky, whose affair with former President Bill Clinton led to his impeachment in December 1998, is now detailing their tryst in an upcoming drama on FX.
She’s not just telling her side of the story for the world to hear, but she’s also one of the producers of “Impeachment: American Crime Story.” And, she’s not backing down from her part in the affair, insisting instead to include her famous thong-flashing incident from back in 1995, despite writer Sarah Burgess’ reservations.

Lewinsky felt that excluding the fact from the show could skew the public’s perspective while watching because they might wonder what other critical information she’s hiding.
Although she purposely didn’t give her input on how the series handled the marital struggles between Bill Clinton and his wife behind closed doors, Lewinsky tried her best to accurately recall details from her 18-month extramarital relationship that continues to be a stain on the 42nd President of the United States.
