(LibertySociety.com) – Mike Heslin, a 30-year-old actor, died suddenly after a “cardiac event,” leaving his husband, friends, and family stunned, as well as the internet asking questions about what caused the seemingly healthy young to perish so quickly.
According to his partner Nicolas James Wilson, who posted about Heslin’s death on social media on Friday, July 5, the actor suffered an “unexpected cardiac event” which resulted in hospitalization. He was admitted to stay the weekend in the hospital and then died Tuesday, July 2, after his condition took a turn for the worse. Wilson said that Heslin was young and “in perfect health,” adding that doctors could not explain what happened to him.
In the heartbreaking statement, Wilson described Heslin as the “sweetest, most caring, and loving man on earth,” and said that the actor “brought out the absolute best” in those who crossed paths with him. Wilson also credited Heslin, who he said “moved through life… with ease and confidence,” with helping him survive cancer. Wilson called the actor “brilliant, selfish, talented,” and his “real-life guardian angel.”
In November 2023, the couple tied the knot, and Wilson said they were also in “the early stages of starting a family.”
Heslin made his debut in the 2014 series “7 Deadly Sins” on Showtime, and had minor rules in “Yellowstone” as well as “Special Ops: Lioness.” The official social media pages for the show paid tribute to the actor as well.
Heslin’s sudden and mysterious death sparked speculation among internet users that the vaccines produced from the recent pandemic may have been the cause. Recent data shows links between the vaccines and an increased risk of myocarditis.
The speculation stems not only from his partner’s statements that Heslin suffered a “cardiac event” while having no history of related health issues but also from a picture that emerged of the couple both holding their vaccine certificates, which was posted on social media.
