(LibertySociety.com) – First Lady Melania Trump rarely gets involved in political battles that don’t involve her husband, President Donald Trump. The fact that she’s jumped into the Georgia runoff race should illustrate how important the January 5 election is for America.
On Saturday, December 5, the first lady introduced the president at a Georgia rally. During her opening statement, Melania told the crowd to not let their “voices be silenced,” saying it’s critical the GOP keeps the Senate. She went on to list President Donald Trump’s accomplishments, then asked everyone to “vote for Senator Loeffler and Senator Perdue.”
The election next month will determine which party has control of the Senate. If President Trump wins the presidential race, that means the body of Congress will continue to confirm justices and work with him. If Joe Biden is sworn in, the Senate could stop the Left from enacting its radical agenda and preserve Trump’s legacy. That’s why the first lady is pushing voters to speak at the ballot box.
