Kamala Refuses to Answer When Asked About Migrants Sent to Her Home
(LibertySociety.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris was leaving a recent event when she slowed for a reporter to ask her a question. When she realized he was inquiring about the migrants Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) dropped off near her doorstep, she ignored the query and continued walking.
Last week, the Texas governor sent two buses to the Naval Observatory outside the VP’s home to make a point about the ongoing border crisis. Abbott’s message was straightforward: The border is not secure.
On September 11, Harris appeared on “Meet the Press.” Host Chuck Todd asked her if she considered the “border secure.” Her answer was yes, but the vice president also pointed out the US has a “broken immigration system.” The second-in-command stated during the interview that it was Congress’ fault the path to gain citizenship in the United States is still too difficult.
As of August 31, Abbott has bused over 7,400 migrants to Washington, DC, and more than 1,500 to the Big Apple. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) recently piggy-backed on the Texas leader’s idea, sending a plane filled with about 50 Texas migrants to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts on September 15. Rumor has it he planned to send more to President Joe Biden’s home in Delaware a few days later, although that plan has yet to come to fruition.
