(LibertySociety.com) – Amid a grand jury investigation into Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, a lawyer representing him is calling for an ethics investigation into Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. Abbe Lowell sent a letter to the Office of Congressional Ethics on Monday, April 24th, 2023. The letter states that Rep. Greene is defaming the Biden family while also violating the rules of the House, claiming that her statements and displays of the data and photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop, in addition to what Lowell refers to as a “promotion of conspiracy theories,” are not “deemed to be part of any legitimate legislative activity.”
Rep. Greene, along with other Republicans, has accused Hunter Biden of participating in the trafficking of women from foreign countries based on Suspicious Activity Reports obtained by Congress from several banks that are cooperating with Kentucky Representative James Comer’s House Oversight Committee investigation into the Biden family. Hunter’s attorney, Lowell, listed Rep. Greene’s accusations as the reason she should be investigated, also citing criticism about her rhetoric from members of the Republican party such as Mark Green, R-Tenn.
Another letter sent by his attorney to the Treasury’s Office of Inspector General called for an investigation into Garrett Zeigler, who worked in the Trump administration and has been combing through the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop for nearly 2.5 years now, publishing content on his website Marco Polo. The accusations from Zeigler that Lowell believes should be investigated are also related to human trafficking, with the letter asking the department to find out how Zeigler obtained the SARs, claiming they were obtained illegally.
Hunter Biden is currently under investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware for tax fraud and lying on an application to obtain a firearm, failing to disclose his crack addiction. Four potential charges could be incoming for the son of the President of the United States, including tax evasion, two charges for failing to file his taxes, and a charge for lying on the gun application.
