Democrats Introduce Strict Gun Control Measures – Include Federal Bans
(LibertySociety.com) – Americans are demanding change in the wake of the mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, followed by the elementary school massacre in Uvalde, Texas. However, Republicans in the House Judiciary Committee think Democrats are using shooting tragedies as an opportunity to grandstand and rip into the Second Amendment. In fact, the Left introduced a myriad of gun control laws under the Protecting Our Kids bill.
On the other hand, the Right insists stricter gun laws would not have prevented these mass shootings and is never the correct answer.

The sharp divide between parties regarding solutions could make a bipartisan effort more difficult. Although there’s some support from both Republicans and Democrats on “red flag” laws allowing authorities to remove guns from dangerous people, Republicans on the judiciary committee say they won’t support legislation banning guns of any sort.
The Protecting Our Kids bill includes raising the purchase age of semi-automatics from 18 to 21, restricting ammunition capacity in firearms, and banning bump stocks.
Vice President of the Second Amendment Foundation, Alan Gottlieb, said the Democratic legislation proposal is a “push to trample” on our right to bear arms. Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) said the Democrats want to ban “all guns from some people,” and that proposal just won’t fly in America.
