Hillary Clinton Reveals “Gutsiest” Thing She Ever Did
(LibertySociety.com) – Despite her journey up the political ranks that led her to make a run for the White House in 2016, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed the “gutsiest thing she ever did” was stay in her marriage amidst the Monica Lewinsky scandal in the 90s. The former first lady has been participating in a docuseries featuring “gutsy” women, speaking frankly about the ordeal.
Clinton appeared on “CBS Sunday Morning” with host Norah O’Donnell talking about this specific moment in her life, and how difficult it was to deal with such a private issue out in the open for the world to see.

The former secretary of state revealed that everyone had an opinion about the situation and what she should have done about it. Navigating the terrain took strength. She looked inward and leaned on those she trusted before deciding what next steps she wanted to take. Clinton said it took a lot of “prayer and thoughtfulness” to come to her ultimate conclusion to stay.
Although it was a difficult decision to make that has received much criticism over time, Hillary still said she doesn’t regret staying with the former president and making their marriage work.
