Gavin Newsom Will Not Contest Biden’s 2024 Run
(LibertySociety.com) – On November 26, Politico reported California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) said he will not run for the White House in 2024 against President Joe Biden. In fact, he claimed he has no intention of competing for the spot as president even if the current POTUS decides to step aside in the upcoming general election. Newsom reportedly shared his decision with “everyone in the White House,” including the commander-in-chief himself.

Although Biden has not formally announced his campaign, he has said several times he will run for the Oval Office again in 2024. Newsom said he hopes the president goes for the nomination so he can “enthusiastically support him.” He believes in a head-to-head against former President Donald Trump, who already announced his candidacy, Biden will claim victory again.
Some have been speculating that Newsom has his eye on Washington, DC, but he has assured everyone that’s not the case. Instead, he’s concentrating on The Golden State, touting his accomplishments and plans for those who live there. However, it doesn’t mean he has no interest in national issues. Newsom has been vocal about his thoughts on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and billionaire Elon Musk, although he claims to be the real freedom fighter.
