Harris Under Fire After Illegal Immigrant Assaults Woman

(LibertySociety.com) – After President Biden withdrew from the presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the nomination, the RNC released a campaign ad describing Harris as being “weak” and “dangerously liberal” on illegal immigration long before she became VP.

The two-minute ad highlighted the story of Amanda Kiefer, a San Francisco woman who was attacked in 2008 by an illegal alien who had been released from jail as part of a program launched by then-San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris.

In July 2008, Keifer was walking with friends in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco when an illegal alien grabbed her purse and jumped into an SUV. The driver of the vehicle then ran over Kiefer, fracturing her skull.

It was later learned that the illegal, Alexander Izaguirre, had been released from jail under Harris’ “Back on Track” program which was billed as a “smart on crime” initiative to reduce recidivism rates by giving non-violent offenders jobs training in exchange for expunging their criminal records.

After Kiefer’s attack, then-District Attorney Harris told the Los Angeles Times that the program had a “flaw” that allowed illegal aliens to obtain free job training when they could not lawfully obtain a job in the US.

In an interview with ABC News, Kiefer described Vice President Harris’ claim that the 2024 election was a choice between a convicted felon and a former tough prosecutor as “laughable.”

Keifer told ABC News that she woke up to Harris after one of her policies affected her “negatively.”

The now 45-year-old Kiefer told ABC News that she thought most Americans would disapprove of a program that allowed convicted illegal aliens to obtain job training.

The Harris campaign has attempted to downplay the Vice President’s involvement in the Biden administration’s open borders policies, claiming that President Biden did not put Harris in charge of securing the southern border.

Media outlets, which previously described the vice president as Biden’s “Border Czar” also hit back at the RNC, claiming that Harris was never officially named “Border Czar.”
