GOP Representative Urges Rashida Tlaib’s Removal from Congress

(LibertySociety.com) – Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., recently called for far-left radical progressive Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., to be removed from Congress after she delivered remarks at a terrorist-funded conference in Detroit. The People’s Conference for Palestine was funded by a Damascus-based group called Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which has been designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, Canada, Japan, and the European Union.

Lawler shared an excerpt from Tlaib’s speech, writing that “she should be removed from Congress immediately.” Tlaib has refused to condemn the actions of Hamas since the terrorist group attacked Israel in October of last year. She has continuously relied on known Hamas-controlled propaganda media outlets to criticize the United States for its support of Israel. During her speech, Tlaib railed against the 46th president, asking him, “Where’s your red line, President Biden?”

Tlaib rallied the crowd with criticism of her colleagues for speaking out against pro-Palestinian protestors, claiming that the protestors were innocently standing up against the killing of any ethnicity. In reality, demonstrators all across the country have used antisemitic rhetoric and called for the end of the Israeli state. The recent arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his defense minister were opposed by Biden, who said that Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were not committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Tlaib said that Biden attacking the ICC was to protect Netanyahu from prosecution. The lawmaker’s X account, formerly Twitter, is full of anti-Israel posts and criticisms of the United States government. Her activism for Palestinians has been quite effective, as Biden has lost support from the most radical wing of the Democratic Party. In early April, over 20,000 Wisconsin primary voters opted to vote for “uninstructed” in protest of Biden’s continued support of Israel. In March, 45,000 Minnesota primary voters chose to vote for “uncommitted” instead of Biden.
