(LibertySociety.com) – With the 2022 elections less than two years away, the Republican Party is strategizing to take back the majorities in the House of Representatives and the Senate. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) just hired someone to help make that happen.
According to a March 22 Fox News report, McCarthy hired Brian Jack, who acted as political director during former President Donald Trump’s administration. A source told Fox the former president and the minority leader both trust him and believe he knows how to “best utilize [Trump] to retake the majority.”

The House is currently split 212 to 219, with 4 vacancies. If Republicans can hold all of their seats, they will only need seven to take back the majority. The president’s party usually loses seats in midterm elections, according to a 2018 report from Forbes. So if Jack plays his cards right, he could easily help the party take back control of at least one chamber. That will go a long way in giving the GOP the power to stop most of Biden’s agenda.
