(LibertySociety.com) – President Joe Biden has made it clear that he intends to target gun ownership in the US. The commander-in-chief has even said he wants to end protections for gun manufacturers, opening them to lawsuits. One governor is trying to prevent that from happening.
On May 7, Arizona Governor Greg Ducey signed Senate Bill 1382 to protect the Second Amendment. According to a press release, the law prohibits Arizona and all state entities from suing anyone in the firearms industry for marketing, lawful design, distribution and selling guns or ammo. It also bans lawsuits against trade associations, sellers, and manufacturers for “damages resulting from the criminal misuse” of guns and ammo.
With efforts currently underway in Washington to erode Second Amendment rights, I signed #SB1382 today to protect those rights in Arizona. 1/

There are some exceptions to the lawsuit provision, but overall, it’s a solid law that respects the Second Amendment. The country needs more governors like Ducey, who are willing to step up to protect American citizens’ constitutional rights.
