Donald Trump Speaks at Campaign Event in New Hampshire

Former President Trump Campaigns in New Hampshire

(LibertySociety.com) – As campaign season is officially underway for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election, many candidates are hitting early primary states in an effort to feel out voters and prime the GOP staff for their campaign strategy. Former President Trump visited Manchester, New Hampshire on April 27th, 2023, rallying his supporters to help defeat President Joe Biden and attempt to secure his spot as the 47th President of the United States.

During his speech at the Manchester hotel, which allowed around 2,600 people inside, he criticized the Biden administration, discussing the state of the economy and the crisis that has unfolded at the southern border since President Biden took office. He also mocked the 46th President through imitation, which drew a loud response of laughs and whistles from the audience. He called out President Biden for his newly launched campaign advertisement, expressing his disbelief that he’s using the “Trump and MAGA pose a threat to democracy” line as his reason for running for re-election.

Former President Trump also expressed frustration with the Republican National Committee regarding the scheduled debates for the upcoming primary season, citing the low polling numbers of his opponents. On April 25th, 2023, he posted about the matter on his Truth Social account as well, saying that no one had asked his campaign for approval of the locations and expressing his dissatisfaction with the locations that were chosen. The Democrat National Committee has already opted not to hold formal debates, although that is typically the case when an incumbent president is running for re-election.

Former President Trump has been leading in many GOP polls by a large margin, with most candidates in the single digits. The only person who is polling over 20% is Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is not an official candidate in the race.
