(LibertySociety.com) – Former President Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. has been one of his most ardent supporters and defenders since he began his political career. Trump Jr. himself went through countless hours of testimony during Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation during the Trump administration. He has never shied away from pointing out what he believes to be hypocritical behavior among the Washington D.C. elite. The latest indictment of his father by Special Counsel Jack Smith is more of the same, according to Trump Jr.
During a Newsmax interview, Trump Jr. blasted the Department of Justice (DOJ) for waiting so long to bring charges for January 6, 2021, against the former president. He believes that the timing of the indictment is suspicious, stating that the establishment is “afraid of him becoming president and dismantling the uni-party.” He noted that the indictments seem to always come shortly after evidence of the Biden family’s sketchy business dealings is revealed. The latest indictment was handed down just one day after Hunter Biden’s former business partner offered explosive testimony to the House Oversight Committee during a closed-door interview.
Trump Jr. pointed out that his father is leading in many of the latest polls, which is another reason they are determined to take him down. He referred to Special Counsel Smith as being like “Adam Schiff with a beard,” mocking him for his rhetoric during the press briefing where he announced the charges. He spoke highly of his father’s commitment to bringing the country back to the way it was before President Biden took office. He said that he feels that more Americans are beginning to see that Trump is one of the only politicians who stays consistent, which is a rarity in Washington D.C. Former President Trump was arraigned in a Washington D.C. court on August 3, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges stemming from the events of January 6, 2021.
