(LibertySociety.com) – In 2018, White House Counsel Don McGahn resigned from his position. A few months later, former President Donald Trump called McGahn a liar when he said Trump wanted to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Nearly two years later, all of this drama is bubbling to the surface again.
According to May 24 reports, McGahn has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee in the first week of June. The hearing will be held behind closed doors, and the former White House counsel is expected to make accusations that Trump tried to obstruct the Russia investigation. The New York Times reported that President Joe Biden gave McGahn permission to testify as long as there weren’t any legal challenges. Trump is not intervening.

Mueller closed the Russia investigation years ago, but here we are in 2021, and the Left is holding a hearing about it. Trump was cleared of wrongdoing and never charged with obstruction by the special counsel. Why is Congress still wasting time on this witch hunt when the American people are trying to recover from the pandemic?
