WHOA – DeSantis’ New Campaign Strategy REVEALED
(LibertySociety.com) – Now that primaries are over, campaigns for November are heating up, and Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) just dropped an ad that mimics the popular movie “Top Gun: Maverick.”
The short video opens with the Florida leader in a bomber jacket and classic Maverick sunglasses when he starts talking in front of what would be the class of Top Gun pilots. Only this time, he’s not talking about how to take down the enemy in the air during the war; he’s discussing the rules of engagement with “corporate media.”

As the governor is laying out how to handle reporters, the ad makes several cuts to times when he engaged with the media during his time in office. At the end, DeSantis brings his son into the picture as a jet fighter, who says, “Let’s turn and burn!” into the mic.
Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis came up with the concept for the advertisement of comparing “dog fighting” to how her husband deals with the media. The finished product received mixed responses on social media.
DeSantis will face Representative Charlie Crist (D-FL) for the keys to the governor’s mansion in November.
What do you think of the Maverick ad? Do you think it conveys its intended message?
