(LibertySociety.com) – Democrats have operated for years as if they have a lock on the minority vote. The 2020 election proved the Left gravely miscalculated their support among the Black and Latino communities.
Exit polling from the 2020 presidential election shows President Donald Trump siphoned away a great deal of support from the Democratic Party. In 2008, 95% of Black men voted for Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Twelve years later, only 80% of that same voting base supported Biden.
Trump reportedly received 18% of the vote from Black men.
Some of those voters may have rejected Biden because of the racist way he said they weren’t Black if they voted for Trump. Maybe it was the crime bill that caused mass incarcerations in the African-American community. Or it could be the fact that the Democratic Party doesn’t seem to understand that not every person of color is concerned with identity politics. Donald Trump understands that; he treats Black Americans with the dignity and respect they deserve.
